For my master thesis I set out to design a system for desalination of seawater. You can see my exam project at Rhösska museum in Gothenburg during the summer. The exhibition will be open untill 14:th of August.

Beautiful Death
Every thing which is born eventually dies. What, then, would be a beautiful death for a product? Our concept is to question and discuss the afterlife of products in many ways. Taking the eventual death of a product as our inspiration, we explore ways to bring value to the death of a product, expanding its lifespan, transforming the materials, or reincarnating a product for new purposes. By focusing on the stages that occur in the transition from life to death, or from death to life, we present our personal interpretations of how a product might experience a beautiful death.

Beautiful Death
First there was a story of a beautiful death of a product, then came the story of its life.

All good stories have a good start. This one started with a story of a beautiful end. I wanted to explore what would happen if we would reverse the workflow by putting the end on focus and letting a beautiful story of the death of a product determine the story of its life.

Welcome to the exhibition at Stockholm furniture!

Together with a creative group of students at HDK I developed the concept and then we invited the other first year master students of HDK to join the project. The result will be presented at Stockholm furniture fair 4 – 8 February
